I was an account executive (AE) for one of the top brand manufacturers of beds and mattresses in the Philippines. As an AE, the pressure was always on how to achieve the daily quota. This helped me develop my strategic management skills. Also, this position trained me to handle customer relation management and after sales services. Maintaining good relationship with clients despite rejections and complains was a responsibility I became accustomed to. Telemarketing, receipt and invoice issuances, timekeeping , making and updating of client data base using Excel, were part of my role, too, as an AE.
My experience as an assistant to Human Resource and Administration Department (HRAD) for almost a decade happened when I worked as an Officer-in Charge (OIC) for a Fiber Manufacturing Company. I assisted in recruitment procedures by doing the initial screening of the applicants and made final screening using the People Analyzer Tool, to hire the right person, which will then be recommended to the HRAD Manager. Doing liaison job as an OIC further honed my interpersonal skills. I dealt with some local government officials and some regional head of government agencies as part of securing the company's renewal of permits, registrations and licenses. I also managed to do business correspondence with these different offices thru formal letters, phone calls, and
Being a Plant Manager (PM), one of the highlights of my contribution to the company was in supply chain management, that was, being able to establish stable suppliers of raw materials, better production output which minimized cost and expenses, and better warehousing and delivery of goods meeting schedules and deadlines. Working with different project-based contractors, as PM, further sharpened my skill in project management as well.
In addition, I have 2-year volunteerism experience as a Full-Time Missionary, sharing messages to all people I meet, may it be in streets, public utility transports, markets, or by knocking on doors. I learned to adapt and be flexible by learning to write and speak in another language.
