Dear Future Employer,
Even before the pandemic, I always dreamed of remote work where I don't need to travel everyday and can work in the comfort of my home. Because of that, I equipped myself with the latest gadgets such as personal computer, laptop and a high speed internet connection. I also allotted a room at home, designed it to be my office and looked for a job where I can be my best self. Pandemic came, it was a bittersweet experience for me because I hate how it affected the world negatively, but I also love that it became an opportunity to start my remote job journey.
Pre-pandemic, I used to work as a private employee to the Chief of Collection Section (BIR Intramuros, Manila) for 10 years. I was still in high school when I started this job until it ended in 2020 because of the pandemic. My main job is to help her prepare documents for her taxpayers, pay their taxes online or through local banks and more paperworks.
Since I am just a private employee and it is more of an on-call job, I was able to bag another job as a full time Customer Service Representative at Teleperformance Sucat, Parañaque under our account EAN (
Due to exhaustion from everyday travel going to work and back home, I d
I started looking for remote jobs and landed my first job as a Part time Lead Generation Specialist and also a General Virtual Asssistant to a Home-Schooling Materials Business Owner that lasted for a year and a few months. While working as a Lead Generation Specialist, I bagged another job as a part time Cold Caller for a Real Estate Private Investor for a year and a few months as well. Since we all know how freelance jobs work, the campaign ended and I lost both my remote jobs. I started looking again and got hired as a Medical Biller which I can proudly say that shaped me so much in my freelance journey. As a medical biller, I was tested a lot at first because we were hired even though we're not a graduate of medical courses, thus making me completely clueless about it. Good thing training was provided, as a quick learner myself and google came handy, I was able to learn so much and grow in this industry. I am understanding and billing medical claims in no time. I became a team lead of my insurance and provider account and also conducted training for newly hired people that will join my team. But as we all know, all good things will eventually come to an end, my team was one of the affected teams because our provider (doctor) who's handling the insurance that we're working on, died of old age.
With all the knowledge that I accumulated from my previous jobs, I believe I will be a great fit for the job that I am applying for. I am also a quick learner and I adapt easily. If you will give me a chance to be a part of your team/company, I will make sure that I am a great addition and will really be a big help in your growing business. Hand me the list of tasks that your company needs to get done and let's start working on it!
