Virtual Assistant Dispatcher with Trucking Experience

As a Trucking Virtual Assistant/Dispatcher, you will play a key role in detail-oriented and experienced Virtual Assistant Dispatcher with a strong background in trucking and logistics. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in coordinating and managing dispatch operations remotely, ensuring timely and efficient communication between drivers, clients, and brokerage . This position requires excellent organizational skills, industry knowledge, and a proactive approach to problem-solving in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications:
-Proven experience in dispatching within the trucking industry (minimum 1-2 years preferred).
-Familiarity with transportation management systems (TMS) and GPS tracking tools.
-Strong understanding of DOT regulations and trucking compliance.
-Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, and dispatch software.
-Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
- Knowledge of freight rates, routes, and industry-specific terminologies.
Responsibilities:
-Coordinate and assign loads to drivers based on availability and route efficiency.
-Monitor driver status and location to ensure on-time delivery and pickups.
-Act as the primary point of contact for drivers, shippers, and customers.
- Handle calls, emails, and messages to address inquiries, updates, and issues promptly.
-Develop and optimize routes for cost and time efficiency.
-Maintain accurate schedules and update dispatch boards in real time.
-Ensure drivers comply with DOT regulations, HOS (Hours of Service), and safety guidelines.
- Maintain organized records of delivery details, logs, and contracts.
-Troubleshoot delays, reroute drivers, and resolve conflicts in real time.
-Communicate with customers to manage expectations during disruptions.
-Generate regular reports on performance metrics (e.g., delivery times, fuel efficiency).
-Identify areas for improvement in dispatch processes.
