I'm Upgrade to see actual info Upgrade to see actual info Jr, EJ for short. I have 5 Years experience in Medical Billing and Coding and 3 Years as an Account Supervisor for Medical Records and Data Entry Specialist.

As a Medical Biller and Coder, I have extensive knowledge in US Healthcare Industry and I do end-to-end process for the whole Revenue Cycle Management. 
I have a solid understanding of medical coding systems, including ICD-10 (International Classification of Diseases)  and CPT (Current Procedural Terminology).

I am  proficient in Medical Billing Software that is used to specialize and manage patient's demographic, submit claims, track payments, and generate reports that is essential for efficient and accurate billing processes.

I am also well versed in navigating electronic health records (EHR) systems such as AdvancedMD, Office Ally, Athena, ECW and more.

I am also HIPPAA certified with my experience in medical records retrieval and data entry as an account supervisor upholding positive attitude in terms of delivering results and client expectations.

I have been exposed to most of the areas in Patient and Insurance Billing such as :
1. Managing Patient Account and demographic which includes registration and appointment scheduling.
2. Verifying patient eligibility and benefits and identifying of correct payers
3. Creating Claims from EMR or Superbills
4. Clearing house rejections, denials from insurance, checking EOB's, following up on claims status and appeal disputes.
5. Payment Posting from insurances and patient and dealing with Zero-Paid EOB's
6. Following-up Account Receivables which includes insurance phone calls.
7. Registering provider tools such as Availity, Navinet, UHC-Link, Optum, etc.
8. Interpretation of patient EMR
9. Received phone calls from the Patient/Provider
10. Scheduling an Appointment.
11. Handled specialties such as Mental health and Substance Abuse, Physical Therapy, Chiropractic, Pain and Spine Management, Surgery, Family Medicine,  Orthopedic and Blood Draw.
