I have 5 years experience in Medical Billing. As a Medical Biller, I work on claims submission and handle different claim denials and rejections. I am also an AR specialist and I do perform posting charges, insurance and patient payments. I spent most of my work time on doing some research and follow up on unpaid claims to insurance companies, reviewing remits and EOBs. I also do customer support where I take patient calls who has billing inquiries and concerns and processing their payments.
In Medical Billing, I worked with different practices such as Dermatology, Orthopedic, Physical Therapy, Pain Medical Rehab and Hospitals. I am familiar and knowledgeable with different CRMs such as eClinical Works, Total MD, Prompt, Kareo, Office Ally, NetHealth, Dr Chrono, Intergy and trizetto, Simple Pactice, and Heno. I also have extensive knowledge in Microsoft Office.
I also worked in BPO Industry as a customer service representative specifically in Dental Services for 2 years. Part of my job is to answer incoming phone calls from dental providers/staffs and assist them regarding their inquiries with their patient’s eligibility, provided breakdown of benefits and status of claim. - Help them to have a copy of Explanation of Benefits upon request- Assist them in payment status of particular claim and help them to reissue a check if they did not receive it.- Since it's a call center, the most common CRM that I used is Decare, and as I remember other tools was CBI and WGS this where I can check/to look if there's other active patient's plan.
