Currently working as a virtual assistant, doing general administrative tasks like
I was an executive assistant right after my graduation from college. I started working with a recruitment company, an insurance company, and then with banking and finance. I have over 6 years of experience as an executive assistant and 9 years as an administrative assistant. I later tried sales for a year with a leasing company and then opened up my own travel agency for about a year and a half. I did medical coding for about 3 years, where I learned about ICD-9 and CPT Guidelines. Later, I went back to administrative work until October of last year in a research center in Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, where I sometimes did data entry for various research projects. I prepare minutes of the meeting and various memoranda. I have taken charge of daily administrative functions, purchasing, and inventory of office equipment, furniture and fixtures, and office supplies when I was in the banking and finance industry. I even handle accounts receivable, accounts payable, and petty cash funds.
My skill set includes travel planning, scheduling, document creation and management, data entry, and database management. I also oversee the calendar activities of my superior. I even did resource management, and I am responsible for tracking and archiving as well as assigning clients for statistical services.
I am a very organized administrative assistant, and my ability to interact with colleagues and my superiors was one of my skills. I’m an optimistic person. My superior would often say that I always see the good in everyone, even if they are giving me a hard time. I am patient and very trustworthy.
