Part-Time Remote Bookkeeper & Personal Assistant for a Family-Run Business.
About Us:
Monstore Self Storage is a family-run business based in the UK, managing several ventures including our main self-storage operation and smaller businesses. As we expand, including a new US-based venture, we’re looking for a dedicated and experienced professional to join us as a part-time Bookkeeper & Personal Assistant.
Role Overview:
The Bookkeeper & PA will handle all bookkeeping and administrative tasks for our businesses and assist with occasional personal tasks for the business owners. This is a remote, part-time role requiring approximately 15 hours per week, with the potential for hours to grow as the businesses expand. The role involves managing accounts, handling queries in the mornings (UK time), and providing ad hoc support as needed.
Responsibilities:
• Maintain accurate financial records for multiple businesses.
• Manage QuickBooks Online accounts, including reconciliation and reporting.
• Process payments and manage transactions.
• Assist with payroll and tax submissions as required.
• Handle occasional personal assistant tasks for the business owners.
• Respond to queries and provide support during UK morning hours, Monday to Friday.
• Prepare financial reports and summaries as requested.
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all matters.
Requirements:
• Proven experience as a bookkeeper, with proficiency in QuickBooks Online and other software such as Excel and
Word.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and handle sensitive information discreetly.
• Reliable internet connection and access to necessary tools for remote work.
• Trustworthy and committed to a long-term working relationship.
Preferred:
• Experience working with family-run businesses.
• Familiarity with UK and US accounting practices.
• Flexibility to take on a variety of tasks beyond bookkeeping.
