JOB OVERVIEW

Genius Games is looking for an Operations Assistant! We want someone who wants to work in a tight-knit group, someone who enjoys working in high energy environments, wants their work to truly matter, and wants to have fun along the way. This position is suited for someone who loves solving challenging puzzles, is highly self-directed, highly organized, has a very high standard for her/himself but is also not afraid to make mistakes along the way, and thrives when giving and receiving feedback about how they and the company can continually improve. This person wants to use their skills to personally and directly help drive the growth of a small company.

This role is ideally full-time but we are open to starting as part-time. The ideal candidate for this position will be able to work a portion of their hours during the US Central Standard Time Zone (CST) to meet with our team, while their other hours can be worked whenever they wish.

WORK DESCRIPTION:

The Operations Assistant at Genius Games plays a crucial role in ensuring the company's operations run smoothly and efficiently. Acting as a direct assistant to the Operations Manager, this role predominantly focuses on organizing, coordinating, and executing operational strategies to aid in the company's growth trajectory.

A core element of this position is the maintenance and effective use of our operational tools, with a specific emphasis on Spreadsheets (both Excel and Google Sheets) and Google Drive. By optimizing these tools, the Operations Assistant ensures that data-driven decisions are made, leading to better efficiency and growth.

In addition, the Operations Assistant will play a significant role in inter-departmental collaboration. Assisting with all facets of operations, they will often work cross-functionally, ensuring that all departments within Genius Games are aligned in their endeavors, fostering a unified organizational flow.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE THESE CHARACTERISTICS AND REQUIREMENTS:

- Highly proficient in Spreadsheets (Excel and Google Sheets) - Mandatory
- Highly proficient in math, logic and analytic problem solving - Mandatory
- Proficient in Google Drive with high level of organization
- Any experience in online customer service is a plus
- Any experience leading or working within a team is a plus
- Any experience in the Hobby Board Game Industry is a plus
- Any experience in Shopify & Amazon Seller Central is a plus
- Any experience in QuickBooks Online is a plus

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Managing our inbound contact emails and forwarding them to the appropriate members of our team
- Responding to customer support emails and Kickstart messages & comments in a timely manner
- Sending customer orders to our fulfillment center
- Recording customer reports of missing components and shipping replacements to customers
- Writing/compiling any necessary process documents
- Keeping the office stocked with the necessary supplies
- Processing orders in e-commerce platforms (Shopify, eBay, Walmart)
- Creating invoices using QuickBooks Online
- Managing files in Google Drive
- Work closely with the Operations Manager and assist him through his daily tasks

COMPENSATION:
- $6/hour during a three-month training period.
- $7/hour for the following nine months.
- $8-$10/hour after one year, with potential for higher pay based on performance.
- Pay periods are on the 5th and 20th of each month. Reimbursements for PhilHealth and SSS self-payments are included.

GROWTH POTENTIAL:

Opportunity for advancement with increased responsibilities and higher compensation ranging from $30,000 to $40,000 USD annually within 3-5 years.
