We are a luxury residential contractor in Truckee, California. Our company strives to build high quality homes with immense attention to detail and service. We have an immediate need for an office manager with proficient accounting abilities. Our ideal candidate must be very strong in Quick Books, AP/AR, job costing and can work independently with little direction. Construction accounting background is highly preferred.
Job Responsibilities:
Accounting Duties:
Utilize Quick Books Online systems for efficient data entry, tracking, and reporting.
Oversee Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) functions, including invoice processing, payment verification, and collections.
Perform reconciliations of financial data, identifying and resolving discrepancies.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline financial processes and improve efficiency.
Troubleshoot and resolve accounting-related issues with minimal supervision.
Assist in month-end and year-end closing procedures.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry best practices and regulations.
Office Management Duties:
Oversee day-to-day office operations to ensure a smooth and efficient work environment.
Manage office supplies, equipment, and vendor relationships.
Handle incoming calls,
Assist in the onboarding process for new employees.
Maintain a clean and organized office space.
Act as a point of contact for building maintenance and related issues.
Collaborate with management to implement and improve office policies and procedures.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Proven experience in AR.AP processing, preferably in the construction industry.
Proficiency in using Quick Book and other relevant accounting software.
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently.
Solid understanding of AP/AR processes and general accounting principles, preferably in the construction industry.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Preferred:
Background in construction accounting.
