Billing Clerk (CosmoLex)

Lam Legal - Trial Lawyers is seeking an experienced **Virtual Legal Billing Clerk** with extensive CosmoLex knowledge to join our team. This full-time position (Monday-Friday, 9 AM–5 PM PST) requires availability during Vancouver business hours.

### Key Responsibilities

**Billing and Financial Management**
- Manage all aspects of client billing using CosmoLex
- Process invoices, track payments, and handle accounts receivable
- Reconcile trust accounts and manage retainers
- Generate financial reports and assist with month-end closing procedures

**Time Tracking and Data Entry**
- Review and enter time entries for lawyers and paralegals
- Ensure accuracy and compliance with billing guidelines
- Assist in resolving billing discrepancies and client inquiries

**CosmoLex Optimization**
- Leverage advanced features of CosmoLex to streamline billing processes
- Maintain and update client and matter information in CosmoLex
- Train and support team members on CosmoLex usage

**Administrative Support**
- Coordinate with the legal team to ensure timely billing
- Assist in preparing financial documents for audits and tax purposes
- Support other administrative tasks as needed

### Qualifications
- Extensive experience with CosmoLex, including advanced features and reporting
- Strong background in legal billing and accounting procedures
- Excellent attention to detail and high accuracy in data entry
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information
