JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual who will be researching and requesting police bodycam footage for content purposes. You will be responsible for identifying and contacting police departments, submitting Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests, managing emails, and analyzing incident reports to identify compelling footage.

Your work will play a critical role in curating exceptional content for our projects, ensuring a streamlined process from research to final footage acquisition.

- Exceptional Attention to Detail: Accuracy in identifying and contacting the correct departments is critical.
- Strong Research Skills: Ability to locate and verify accurate contact information for police departments.
- Critical Thinking: Capable of analyzing incident reports and evaluating the potential interest and value of the bodycam footage.
- Excellent Communication: Able to write clear, professional emails to departments and report progress to the team.

Expectations
- Daily Check-Ins: Begin and end each workday by checking in with me to provide updates on your progress.
- Visibility & Communication: Respond promptly to any messages sent during working hours. This will likely be to give feedback on the work being done and any improvements. Must respond promptly, especially during working hours
- Problem-Solving Skills: Demonstrate problem-solving and reasoning abilities when tackling tasks.
- Daily Review & Feedback: At the end of each day, we will review your completed work. Feedback will be provided to highlight areas for improvement and set goals for the next day.
- Efficient with working time

This role will begin as part-time, requiring 20 hours per week at a rate of $3.30 per hour. It is expected to transition to full-time within 1-2 months, once departments become actively responsive.
