Role Overview:
The Operations Manager (Or Assistant General Manager) will oversee daily operations, including product fulfillment, listings, customer service, requesting and responding to reviews and social media. This role requires excellent attention to detail, operational efficiency, and experience managing an ecommerce store. This is our store:
The ideal candidate is someone who has had experience as an assistant, EA, or VA who has now gone into more of an operations role, overseeing processes, building teams, or overseeing teams. This person is responsible, has incredibly high standards of quality control and understands how to process a large volume of transactions.
Responsibilities:
- Fulfill custom orders by updating graphics (e.g., name and date changes) in Canva.
- Manage product listings, including titles, tags, and descriptions, ensuring they are SEO-optimized for Etsy.
- Schedule and manage posts on social media to promote products and drive traffic.
- Handle customer service, including responding to messages twice daily, resolving complaints, and coordinating refunds or replacements.
- Ensure quality control of product listings and designs to prevent errors (e.g., misalignments).
- Monitor the shop's inventory and order new prints or products as needed.
- Collaborate with designers to ensure smooth operations and timely product updates.
- Collaborate with the owner / General Manager on process improvements like implementing automation, AI, and other technology.
Requirements:
- Familiarity with Canva for basic graphic adjustments (must be very advanced with Canva)
- Experience managing ecommerce platforms, particularly Etsy.
- Knowledge of Etsy SEO, including keyword optimization for titles, tags, and descriptions.
- High attention to detail and the ability to handle high-volume tasks efficiently.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple responsibilities.
- Customer service experience with a knack for problem-solving and professionalism.
