JOB OVERVIEW

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Instagram Engagement Specialist to support the growth and community-building efforts of Good Grief, a grief support platform. As an Instagram Engagement Specialist, you will be responsible for engaging with individuals who comment, like, or follow our Instagram account. Your main task will be to gather essential contact information from those interested in connecting with our grief support services, including their Instagram handle, preferred name, and email address. This information will be used to build a relationship and provide further support as part of our mission to help people navigate grief and loss.

Responsibilities:
• Actively reach out to individuals who engage with Good Grief’s Instagram posts, including comments, likes, and new followers.
• Send friendly and compassionate messages asking for their preferred name and email address.
• Enter gathered information into a Google Sheet (Instagram handle, preferred name, and email) in a timely and accurate manner.
• Track and follow up with individuals who have shared their information to ensure we maintain an open channel of communication.
• Be compassionate and professional while handling sensitive topics related to grief and loss.
• Ensure all collected information is organized and secure in the Google Sheet.
• Report weekly on the progress of data collection, including the number of engagements and contact details gathered.

Qualifications:
• Strong experience with Instagram, including understanding how to navigate comments, likes, and messages.
• Comfortable engaging in sensitive conversations around grief and loss with empathy and professionalism.
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) with a friendly and approachable tone.
• Proficiency in Google Sheets or similar spreadsheet tools for data entry.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Compassionate, reliable, and willing to represent the Good Grief brand with care and respect.

Desired Skills:
• Familiarity with online outreach tools or platforms (optional).
• Prior experience in community management or social media engagement.
• Experience handling sensitive topics and understanding privacy concerns.

Compensation:
• Competitive, based on experience and skill level.
• Hourly rate or per-task rate, to be agreed upon during the interview process.
