Personal Injury Paralegal

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Personal Injury Paralegal to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of personal injury law and possess excellent research and writing skills. This role involves supporting attorneys in the preparation of cases, conducting legal research, and managing case files. The Personal Injury Paralegal will play a crucial role in ensuring that our clients receive the best possible representation.
Responsibilities
• Assist attorneys in preparing for trials, hearings, and client meetings.
• Conduct thorough legal research using tools such as Lexis-Nexis to gather relevant case law and statutes.
• Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.
• Interview clients and witnesses to gather information pertinent to personal injury cases.
• Organize and maintain case files, ensuring all documentation is accurate and up-to-date.
• Prepare summaries of depositions, medical records, and other important documents for attorney review.
• Collaborate with clients, medical professionals, and experts to support case development.
• Stay informed about changes in personal injury law and relevant legal procedures.
Requirements
• Proven experience as a paralegal or legal assistant, preferably in personal injury law.
• Ability to comprehend and summarize medical records.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to write clearly and concisely.
• Familiarity with litigation processes and procedures related to personal injury cases.
• Knowledge of environmental law or estate planning is a plus but not required.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize workload effectively.
