JOB OVERVIEW

Position Overview:

The Procurement and Resource Assistant is responsible for ensuring the smooth execution of projects by managing light orders, the permitting process, and inspection scheduling. This role involves processing light orders promptly to prevent project delays, overseeing the entire permitting process from application to approval to maintain project timelines, and handling inspection scheduling and follow-up to ensure timely completion and progress. Additionally, the Assistant supports overall resource management by integrating procurement, permitting, and inspection processes, and provides flexible assistance with ad-hoc tasks within the Procurement and Resource Department to address unforeseen challenges and enhance departmental efficiency.


Pay Range: $6 with a performance review scheduled after 90 days of employment. We believe in rewarding exceptional talents.

Objectives:

-Process light orders efficiently, ensuring all required materials are ordered on time to avoid any project delays.
-Manage the entire permitting process, from application to approval, ensuring permits are submitted, tracked, and received promptly to keep project timelines on schedule.
-Handle inspection scheduling and follow-up, ensuring inspections are booked, completed, and cleared in a timely manner to maintain project progress.
-Support overall resource management by ensuring procurement, permitting, and inspection processes are seamlessly integrated, contributing to the smooth execution of all projects.
-Assist with any ad-hoc tasks within the Procurement and Resource Department, providing support as needed to address unforeseen challenges and ensure departmental efficiency.


Competencies:

-Ability to process light orders efficiently, ensuring that all necessary materials are ordered on time to prevent project delays.
-Capable of effectively scheduling and managing inspections, ensuring they are booked, conducted, and resolved swiftly to keep projects on track.
-Capability to assist in overall resource management by coordinating procurement, permitting, and inspection processes to ensure smooth project execution.
-Flexibility to handle ad-hoc tasks within the Procurement and Resource Department, addressing unforeseen challenges and contributing to departmental efficiency.


Education and Experience:

-Experience in managing the permitting process from application to approval is preferred but not required.
-Experience in scheduling and managing inspections is preferred but not required.


Physical Requirements:

-Extended periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
