About Us
Melbourne Entertainment Company is expanding, and we’re looking for a full-time General Administration & Bookkeeping Assistant to join our awesome virtual team. We’re the largest and most respected entertainment agency in Australia, providing unforgettable experiences for weddings, parties, and corporate events. We want YOU to be a key player in helping us continue to grow!

What You’ll Do
You’ll be handling a variety of recurring and systemised tasks, with a focus on bookkeeping in Xero and administrative tasks in Zoho CRM. Your role will evolve over time, and as you learn the ropes, you’ll take on more responsibilities. Here’s a breakdown:

Recurring Administration Tasks (40%)
- Send weekly emails and updates.
- Cross-check data in Zoho CRM to prevent errors.
- Match suppliers to bookings and manage data entry in Zoho.

Bookkeeping in Xero (30%) - You will be trained in this, no book keeping experience required
- Reconcile daily incoming payments for invoices.
- Send payment reminders and receipts.
- Process contractor invoices weekly and export .aba files for payments.

Self-Development & Business Research (10%)
- Explore potential business improvements and innovations on YouTube.
- Implement new systems to improve customer service, streamline processes, and increase sales team capacity.

One-Off Projects (10%)
- Take on special projects, like redesigning email templates.

Support Entertainment Managers (10%)
- Assist our Entertainment Managers with day-to-day requests.

Who You Are
- Fluent in English—both written and spoken.
- Fast and accurate at typing/responding to emails.
- Confident and professional on the phone.
- Comfortable working with systems like Xero and Zoho CRM.
- Passionate about learning, problem-solving, and creating efficiencies.
