I am a numbers guy. Even on writing, I consider keyword density, search volume, and estimated trends in traffic and clicks as vital metrics in which I build my writing around. 

As a graduate of an Information Technology program, I have been trained to marry both numbers and words in my workflow. We need to know how much traffic we are looking at and which keywords best to drag those potential clicks towards our listing, landing page, or ad post. However, we also need to be creative about how we should use, for example, our target audience’s demographics, buying habits, and even the pros and cons of our competitors and how we can take advantage of these metrics and translate them into words such that the traffic that we expect are adequately converted into views, clicks, and eventually sales. After all, to cut to the chase, we’re here to make money.
