I have been an experienced writer since high school, as I have been a part of writing organizations and this has been further flourished and honed when I started university. I joined the university-ran organization as a writer and managing director for the online newsletter, which is released weekly. On top of this, my degree molded my writing analysis and research skills as research papers were a common requirement. In fact, the thesis that I and 4 other people conducted as the final requirement before graduation was awarded as the Best Thesis for that academic year.
After graduation, I proceeded to pursue my Post Baccalaureate Certificate Study at Silliman University to further my degree. This was an intensive and special undertaking since the university does not usually take students who have not graduated from Silliman but I was considered due to my previous writing and research experience. I took two certificates, namely, Philippine Studies and Southeast Asian Studies. It was intensive in the sense that I was only considered for a semester so for me to complete the study, I was required to write a thought paper on the mentioned areas of specialization. I then defended both papers to a panel of prestigious and well-known professors and policymakers.
My papers were then considered for a conference at Harvard University. In February 2019, I flew to the United States to attend the conference and had my ideas presented there. Right after the conference, I was offered a job as a research associate at one of the country's respected research firms.
Shortly after, I proceeded to work in a research and data analysis field where I started as a Research Associate and have now been promoted as a Project Manager. I handled analyses of data, report making, and presentations.
