During college days, I was trained not only academically but also non–academically to become a well-rounded individual. I served as President of the Junior Philippine Institute of Accountants – local chapter and represented our school both in provincial and regional conferences and competitions and had sent delegates in the national level.
I have worked for more than five years rendering accounting or bookkeeping
services to different companies. I was exposed to the accounting cycle from
analyzing transactions to posting and maintaining journals and ledgers, trial
balance to account schedule preparation and to the eventual financial
statements such as income statement and balance sheet. With this work routine, I became familiar and knowledgeable with different computer functionalities like Microsoft Office especially word, powerpoint and excel and to different accounting softwares such as Peachtree, MYOB and Quickbooks.

items, depreciation of fixed assets and other adjusting entries
Assisting in the preparation of
Account Schedules for FS preparation
Assisting in the preparation of
Government Remittances and Reporting such as PhilHEalth, SSS, and Pag-Ibig
contributions and loans, and BIR compliances and reporting such as compensations
tax, expanded withholding taxes, final taxes, etc.
Maintaining an orderly and well
organized accounting files
Answering management and audit phone
calls or inquries and
Other related duties assigned from
time to time such as admin and human resources services.
I resigned from my last post when I gave birth to my first child to be a full
time mom in 2015 and became a solo parent some years later.
Today, with businesses shifting from the traditional way of doing business to the
digital world of ecommerce. I am thrilled to get back to working full time or
part time from home as a freelancer by equipping myself with the necessary or
required online skills to get started. Just recently, I enrolled in an Online
Academy for Virtual Assistants to learn and develop new skills. I have already
completed and received certifications in general virtual assistance,
ads and marketing and video editing course, also quickbooks online for additional bookkeeping skill. This short courses have helped me discover new hobbies, talents or passion, and prompted me to jumpstart a new career as a freelancer.
