My roles as a Medical Biller:

- Record payments received from insurance companies and patients, and reconcile these with the billed amounts.
- Generate and send invoices to patients for any remaining balance after insurance payments, and assist with payment plans if necessary.
- Handle disputes and queries related to billing, whether from patients or insurance companies, and work to resolve them effectively.
- Ensure that billing practices comply with healthcare regulations, including HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) and other relevant laws.
- Maintain accurate records of all billing transactions, claims, and patient interactions for future reference and audits.
- Generate reports on billing activities, payment status, and outstanding balances for internal review and financial analysis.
- Coordinate with healthcare providers, insurance companies, and patients to clarify billing issues, provide explanations, and gather necessary information.
