I was a Clinical Clerk (Junior Intern) at West Visayas State University Medical Center I was ssigned to all clinical departments in the hospital for both in-patient and out-patient services as well as rural health units in different municipalities within Iloilo province I rotated roughly every 2 weeks for minor rotations such as Psychiatry, ENT, Ophthalmology, etc, and every 6 weeks for major rotations such as Pediatrics, Internal Medicine, Surgery, etc. Provided health services under the supervision of resident doctors including, but not limited to, comprehensive history taking and physical examination, initial management at the emergency room, performed simple interrupted suturing on patients with lacerated wounds at the emergency room and outpatient department, performed continuous suturing for wound closure at the operating room, delivery of newborns, comprehensive management of in-patients, proper dressing of surgical and non-surgical wounds, intravenous catheter insertions, foley catheter insertions, nasogastric tube insertions, and assisted in major and minor surgical and non-surgical operations.
