Profile Description

I am a HIPAA-trained medical biller in the Philippines and provide billing services to offshore clients. I am trained and has experience in different areas from A/R followup, claims submission, payment posting, rejected and denial management and data entries. I work on claims and different denials and rejections, review remits and EOBs, post payments, work on authorization, and insurance verification.
Skills and basic requirements I have:
- Impeccable internet connection- Excellent English speaker- Excellent written and verbal communication skills- Exceptional organizational skills- Professionalism- Time management skills- Proficiency with computer operations- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information- Comfort and experience with video calls (our default is video)
Some responsibilities include:
- Insurance Verification- Requesting for prior authorization- Submitting electronic claims- Claims follow up- Reviewing denials on an explanation of benefits (EOB) statement and working on issues until resolved. - Log onto an insurance website/portal (if available) to investigate insurance denials and rejections.- Analyzing Accounts Receivable reports to follow up on unpaid claims- Sending out appeals on claims that require an appeal- Submitting any required documentation to insurance companies as requested- Researching the claims for information to process bills in a timely manner- Correcting any errors and resubmitting all unprocessed or returned claims to insurance companies- Investigating insurance denials and rejections- Performing other related duties as assigned
Experience:
- Medical billing experience is extensive- Experienced with different EHRs adn EMR: Tebra, ECW, Eaglesoft, APEX EDI, Speedysoft, Etactics
Insurance Portals: - AVAILITY portal- UHC provider portal- CIGNA provider portal- NGS Medicare (PART B)- CGS portal (DME sleep apenea)
Education/Training- Medical Billing Certified/ HIPAA-certified
Looking for a home-based/remote position.Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday between 8 am to 5 pm EST, with some flexibility with schedulingHourly Rate: $8- $12 net depending on task
