Currently, I serve as the Chief Librarian at one of the prestigious academic institutions in Leyte, Philippines. My responsibilities encompass the entire library ecosystem, from managing staff and collections to planning engaging programs and ensuring compliance with accreditation requirements. Prior to this leadership role, I honed my skills in various library settings, including:· Assistant Librarian (St. Scholastica's Academy-Tabunok, Cebu): I thrived as a reference librarian, providing research assistance and handling diverse user inquiries. My expertise extends beyond traditional library tasks, encompassing aspects like printing/photocopying service management, cataloging, and even student engagement activities.· One-Person Librarian: During this challenging but rewarding experience, I independently managed all library operations, from acquisitions and circulation to instruction and event organization. This fostered my resourcefulness, adaptability, and ability to prioritize effectively.· General Circulation Assistant: My focus in this role shifted to user interaction, handling book borrowing/returning, processing IDs, and assisting with information needs.
