We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Product Research Assistant to support our procurement and sourcing efforts. This role involves researching manufacturers' catalogs, comparing product prices, identifying relevant tariffs, and providing insights into competitive pricing strategies.

Key Responsibilities:
Manufacturer Research: Identify and compile reliable manufacturers from catalogs, online sources, and trade platforms.
Price Matching: Compare prices across suppliers to find the most competitive options.
Tariff & Import Research: Gather tariff data based on HS codes and country of origin.
Product Specifications: Ensure products meet requirements and provide accurate details on features, quality, and suppliers.
Data Organization: Maintain a structured database or spreadsheet for product catalogs, pricing, and tariff info.
Market Research: Monitor industry trends, product availability, and new launches.
Supplier Communication: Contact suppliers for additional info, samples, or quotes when necessary.
Qualifications:
Experience in product research, sourcing, or procurement (preferred but not required).
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to analyze and compare product prices efficiently.
Knowledge of tariffs, HS codes, and international trade policies is a plus.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel/Google Sheets.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
Strong internet research skills, with the ability to navigate catalogs and online supplier directories.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with sourcing platforms like Alibaba, Global Sources, etc.
Familiarity with international trade regulations and tariffs.
Knowledge of sourcing or supply chain management.
