About the Project

Oracle is a voice-based AI guide designed to be a deeply personalized companion for users, offering mentorship, support, and insights based on contextual understanding. This MVP will be built using Cursor and OpenAI’s APIs to enable voice-based interaction, adaptive responses, and smart monetization features.

We are looking for a skilled AI Developer with experience in OpenAI API integration, voice-to-text processing, conversational AI, and frontend development to build the leanest possible version of this product while maintaining high engagement and user experience.

Responsibilities

Develop and integrate OpenAI Whisper API for speech-to-text conversion (voice input processing).

Implement GPT-4 API for context-aware, adaptive conversational AI logic.

Utilize OpenAI TTS API for text-to-speech responses to create a fully voice-based experience.

Implement short-term session memory within GPT-4’s context window to allow fluid, human-like conversations.

Design a smart paywall that triggers after the Oracle completes its initial discovery phase (~5 minutes of conversation).

Integrate Stripe or RevenueCat API for subscription-based monetization.

Develop a lightweight frontend using React/Next.js in Cursor to facilitate interactions.

Optimize the AI system for low-latency, high-quality responses.

Required Skills & Experience

AI & Backend Development

Strong experience with OpenAI APIs (Whisper, GPT-4, TTS).

Knowledge of AI-driven conversational models and contextual adaptation.

Ability to fine-tune system prompts and API calls for optimal performance.

Frontend & UI Development

Proficiency in React/Next.js (required for Cursor-based development).

Experience building clean, minimal UIs for AI-powered applications.

Understanding of voice interaction UX and how to design for seamless conversations.

Payments & Monetization

Experience integrating Stripe or RevenueCat for subscriptions/paywalls.

Understanding of user retention & engagement tactics related to paywalls.

General Requirements

Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work autonomously.

Prior experience building AI-driven applications.

Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly.

Familiarity with Cursor as a development environment (preferred but not required).

Nice-to-Have Skills

Experience in AI fine-tuning and persistent memory systems.

Background in chatbot development, NLP, or voice AI.

Knowledge of gamification mechanics to enhance engagement.
