Youtube Video Editor

Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled YouTube Video Editor with a passion for storytelling, attention to detail, and a good eye for aesthetics. This editor will work closely with us to turn raw footage into high-quality, cohesive videos that capture and retain viewers' attention. Videos will be approximately 5-15 minutes long, with one video produced per week.

Responsibilities:
- Edit weekly videos for YouTube, including cutting footage, adding transitions, graphics, and sound effects, and color correction as needed.
- Collaborate on concepts, bringing creative ideas to enhance visual storytelling.
- Incorporate on-screen text, motion graphics, and other elements to emphasize key points and improve viewer engagement.
- Implement SEO best practices in video editing (e.g., keeping attention high within the first 30 seconds).
- Create engaging thumbnails that match the video’s theme and attract clicks.
- add background music.
- Stay aligned with the brand’s tone and style, ensuring consistency across all videos.
- Deliver edits promptly, adhering to project deadlines.

Requirements:
- Proven experience editing YouTube videos, preferably in the productivity, lifestyle, or educational niche.
- Proficiency in video editing software.
- Ability to create custom graphics, overlays, and motion graphics using After Effects or similar software is a plus.
- Strong understanding of YouTube’s best practices for retention, viewer engagement, and SEO.
- Creativity in storytelling, especially in how to communicate complex information in a clear, engaging way.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to incorporate feedback.

Preferred Skills:
- Thumbnail design experience.
- Basic knowledge of color grading and audio editing.
- Familiarity with social media content creation and repurposing video content for different platforms (e.g., Instagram reels, TikTok).
