Key Responsibilities:

Edit longform YouTube videos primarily focused on talking head content, ensuring clarity, flow, and engagement throughout.
Craft seamless, polished final cuts that align with our channel’s voice and audience expectations.
Integrate b-roll, graphics, animations, music, and other assets to enhance storytelling and viewer retention.
Collaborate closely with content creators to understand vision, tone, and messaging, ensuring that edits meet creative goals.
Implement advanced editing techniques such as color correction, sound design, and motion graphics to elevate video quality.
Manage and prioritize multiple projects, meeting deadlines and ensuring efficient turnaround times.
Stay up-to-date with the latest YouTube trends, algorithms, and audience engagement strategies to optimize video performance.
Provide feedback and suggestions to improve raw footage and overall content quality.
Requirements:

Extensive experience (3+ years) editing longform YouTube content, preferably with a focus on talking head or interview-style videos.
Expertise in industry-standard video editing software (Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, etc.).
Strong understanding of pacing, storytelling, and audience engagement, with a proven track record of creating videos that captivate and retain viewers.
Solid knowledge of YouTube best practices, including optimizing video length, structure, and technical specifications (thumbnails, captions, etc.).
Proficiency in audio mixing, color grading, and sound design to create a professional-quality final product.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently in a remote environment.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills—ability to take direction and offer creative input.
A portfolio or demo reel showcasing your work on longform YouTube content (particularly talking head-style videos).
Preferred Skills:

Experience with motion graphics and advanced visual effects.
Familiarity with YouTube SEO, metadata optimization, and analytics.
Ability to work with scripts and create compelling intros, transitions, and outros that enhance video flow.
Knowledge of basic social media strategies to tailor content for maximum reach and engagement.
