Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled and versatile WordPress Developer with a solid foundation in Technical SEO to join our team. This role demands a proactive self-starter who can create high-quality, conversion-focused landing pages from mock-ups with minimal supervision.
The ideal candidate will bring creative solutions to technical challenges, ensure the site is optimized for search engine rankings, and stay current with SEO best practices. Working closely with IT, the candidate will also manage cybersecurity protocols, including HIPAA compliance, to maintain a secure and compliant digital presence.
Key Responsibilities:
WordPress Development: Build, maintain, and update landing pages and websites in WordPress, ensuring high performance, responsiveness, and usability.
Landing Page Execution: Translate mock-ups and design assets into effective, visually compelling landing pages optimized for conversion.
Technical SEO: Optimize on-page and technical SEO factors, including site speed, indexing, structured data, meta tags, alt text, internal linking, and mobile compatibility, staying up-to-date with algorithm changes.
Cybersecurity & Compliance: Coordinate with IT to ensure adherence to cybersecurity best practices, including HIPAA compliance and other industry-specific regulations, protecting sensitive client data.
Performance Monitoring: Utilize Google Analytics, Search Console, and other tools to monitor, analyze, and report on website traffic, SEO performance, and user experience.
Problem Solving & Self-Starter: Take initiative in troubleshooting and solving problems related to site performance, cybersecurity, and SEO, using creative and resourceful solutions.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with designers, content creators, and marketing teams to enhance the user experience and achieve business objectives.
Qualifications:
• 3+ years of WordPress development experience, with a strong portfolio showcasing responsive and optimized websites.
• Solid knowledge of technical SEO, including Google’s best practices for SEO, structured data, page speed optimization, and mobile-first indexing.
• Experience with security protocols, including familiarity with HIPAA compliance, data privacy standards, and cybersecurity basics.
• Strong understanding of web analytics and SEO tools such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Ahrefs, SEMrush, and Screaming Frog.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects with shifting priorities and deadlines.
• Knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP, as well as experience with popular WordPress plugins, including SEO and security plugins.
