Full TIme WordPress Developer (PSD to WordPress Specialist) 4 month assignment

About the Role:

We’re looking for a skilled WordPress Developer to join our team on a part-time basis. The ideal candidate should have experience converting PSD mockup into fully functional WordPress themes while following best coding practices. Additionally, you must have experience with Gutenberg block customization and not rely solely on ACF for custom content structures, though ACF experience is still required.

As part of the selection process, applicants will undergo a practical PSD to WordPress test to demonstrate their skills.


Responsibilities:
? Convert PSD designs into responsive, custom WordPress themes.
? Develop and customize WordPress themes & templates without relying on page builders like Elementor or Divi.
? Work with ACF (Advanced Custom Fields) for custom content structures.
? Ensure clean, maintainable, and SEO-friendly code.
? Optimize website performance for fast loading speeds.
? Troubleshoot and fix WordPress-related issues.
? Collaborate with our team for ongoing site updates and improvements.

Requirements:
?? Proven experience in WordPress development & PSD-to-WordPress conversion.
?? Strong knowledge of WordPress theme development, PHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript/jQuery.
?? Experience working with custom themes (not just page builders).
?? Experience working with WooCommerce customization and development.
?? Familiarity with ACF (Advanced Custom Fields) for custom content management.
?? Strong expertise in Gutenberg block development and customization (native or ACF-based).
?? Proficiency in Photoshop and Illustrator for extracting assets and minor design edits.
?? Strong attention to detail & ability to meet deadlines.
?? Ability to customize WordPress plugins when needed.
?? Knowledge of PageSpeed optimization.

????? Practical Test Requirement:
Shortlisted applicants will receive a PSD mockup (sourced online) and must convert it into a functional WordPress site using a clean starter theme (e.g., Underscores, Sage, or any lightweight custom-built theme you preferred). No page builders allowed.
