Company Overview:
We are looking for a talented WordPress Developer to join our team with strong experience in PHP, JavaScript, and CSS to build custom websites from scratch. If you have a passion for clean code, seamless UI/UX, and creating high-performing websites, this role is for you!

This is a long-term, part-time role (20 hours per week to start), with the potential to become full-time for the right candidate.

About the Role:
As our WordPress Developer, you will be responsible for building and maintaining custom WordPress websites, ensuring they are fast, functional, and visually stunning. You will work with Figma designs to bring pixel-perfect websites to life, develop custom themes and plugins, and optimize site performance.

Key Responsibilities:
Build custom WordPress websites from scratch using PHP, JavaScript, and CSS
Convert Figma designs into responsive, high-performing WordPress themes
Develop custom WordPress themes and plugins tailored to project needs
Implement dynamic, interactive features using JavaScript and jQuery
Optimize websites for speed, SEO, and mobile responsiveness
Debug and troubleshoot WordPress-related issues, including PHP errors and database optimizations
Ensure cross-browser compatibility and accessibility compliance
Work with APIs and third-party integrations (e.g., payment gateways, CRMs, marketing tools)
Maintain and update existing WordPress sites, improving security and performance

What We’re Looking For:
2+ years of experience in WordPress development (custom themes & plugins)
Strong proficiency in PHP, JavaScript (jQuery, AJAX), CSS, and HTML5
Experience working with Figma to translate designs into WordPress layouts
Ability to write clean, well-documented code following best practices
Strong understanding of WordPress hooks, custom post types, and advanced ACF setups
Experience working with WooCommerce, Elementor, or other page builders (but able to code from scratch)
Familiarity with WordPress REST API and integrating third-party APIs
Knowledge of SEO best practices, Core Web Vitals, and website performance optimization
Experience with Git version control
Understanding of website security and WordPress hardening
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Bonus Skills (Preferred but Not Required):
Experience with React or Vue.js
Familiarity with Laravel or other PHP frameworks
Experience with Shopify a PLUS
Knowledge of Headless WordPress development (REST API + Frontend frameworks like Next.js)
Ability to manage DNS settings, cPanel, and hosting configurations
Experience with GoHighLevel, Zapier, or CRM integrations
