Job Title: Wordpress Developer

Location: Remote (Sydney Time Zone)

About The Client:
Our client is a school tutoring business that helps students of all abilities achieve their goals through a mix of small group and 1:1 tutoring as well as through publishing study guides.

Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Wordpress Developer to join our client on either a part-time or full-time basis, depending on cost and workload. This role will focus on iterating and improving our web properties to enhance both front and back-end user-facing systems. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in front-end design, with some proficiency in back-end development, e.g. PHP.

Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the team to understand project requirements and objectives for website improvements.
- Develop and implement front-end designs for our Wordpress websites, ensuring a user-friendly and visually appealing experience.
- Customise and optimise Wordpress themes and plugins to meet specific project needs.
- Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code for both front-end and back-end functionalities.
- Troubleshoot and debug issues to ensure seamless functionality and performance of web properties.
- Conduct regular maintenance and updates to keep websites secure and up-to-date.
- Utilise best practices in SEO and lead generation principles to optimise website performance.
- Communicate effectively with team members to provide progress updates and coordinate project timelines.

Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in front-end web development
- Some experience in back-end development, e.g. PHP.
- Formal training in web development or related fields is essential.
- Experience in creating B2C consumer websites that prioritise lead generation principles is desirable.
- A strong portfolio showcasing prior projects and examples of front-end design and development work.
- Good time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines consistently.


Work Schedule:
Full-time (8 hour/day) from Monday to Friday
