You will primarily be designing marketing and lead generation websites (approximately 80% of the work) with occasional work on landing pages, eCommerce sites, and digital graphic designs (ads, one-off graphics). You must have proven experience in designing for WordPress and a keen understanding of UI/UX best practices.
Key Responsibilities
Design & Layouts:
Create responsive website designs using a 16-column grid system.
Develop layouts and visual assets for marketing sites, landing pages, eCommerce, and other digital graphics.
Creative Briefs:
Collaborate with the team to create and refine creative briefs that outline detailed design direction. This includes providing flattened comps with annotations on functionality (e.g., sliders, animations, hover states, click functions).
Collaboration:
Work independently while coordinating with the in-house team for design reviews and feedback sessions.
Ensure clear communication in English during all interactions and documentation.
Tool Proficiency:
Utilize Adobe Photoshop or Figma (or equivalent tools) to deliver final design assets that are appropriate for both web and print.
Adherence to Guidelines:
Follow provided style guides and creative briefs for each project to ensure brand consistency and effective lead generation.
Required Qualifications
Experience:
5+ years of professional web design experience.
Demonstrable experience designing for WordPress.
A solid portfolio showcasing website design and layout expertise.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop or Figma (other tools are acceptable as long as outputs meet project requirements).
Strong understanding of responsive design principles, especially designing with a 16-column grid system.
UI/UX design expertise with a focus on marketing and lead generation.
Communication:
Excellent English communication skills (both written and verbal).
Ability to clearly annotate and document creative briefs for developers.
Preferred Qualifications
Additional Experience:
Experience in eCommerce design is a plus.
Work Hours:
Preference for candidates who can work extensively during US hours, with a minimum daily overlap of 2 hours with Pacific Standard Time.
