Website Developer

Job Overview:

We are seeking a full-time (40 hours per week) freelance contractor to work with one of our clients. As a Website Developer, you will be responsible for migrating websites from custom development code to themed sites using WordPress and Pantheon.io, ensuring the CMS is user-friendly and easily editable. This role includes managing and maintaining live websites, implementing updates, and improving site functionality. The ideal candidate will have expertise in PHP, JavaScript, Pantheon.io (hard requirement), Cloudflare, and WordPress, with experience using Asana for project management.

About the work:

-Migrate websites from custom development code to themed sites using WordPress and Pantheon.
- Improve CMS functionality, making websites more editable and user-friendly.
- Manage and maintain live websites, implementing updates and ensuring site performance.
- Perform updates and refinements to current websites built on PHP.
- Collaborate with the team to enhance website design, usability, and functionality.
- Utilize tools like Cloudflare, Pantheon, and Asana to support development tasks and workflow management.

Requirements:

- 5+ years of experience as a Website Developer, with a focus on WordPress and PHP-based websites.
- Proficiency in PHP, JavaScript, Pantheon, Cloudflare, and WordPress. (ALL HARD REQUIREMENTS)
- Strong experience in migrating websites and improving CMS functionality.
- Ability to manage and update live websites efficiently.
- Familiarity with project management tools like Asana to track tasks and collaborate with the team.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Availability to work full-time during ET hours.

About the role:

- Part-time position at $18/hr, working 40 hours per week
- EST work hours; fixed weekends off
