Job Description:
We’re a US-based home cleaning service targeting overwhelmed working moms with big families. We’re launching our brand as the reliable, chaos-busting alternative to flaky solo cleaning ladies—and we need a killer Squarespace website to match!
Role:
We’re hiring for a one-time gig to build and design our Squarespace website. You’ll take our detailed wireframe (Homepage, Services, Pricing, Why Us, Contact) and bring it to life with our teal/coral/white palette, embedding third-party tools like Calendly, a calculator (uCalc), and ensuring mobile responsiveness.
Estimated 10–20 hours project.
Responsibilities:
Build a 5-page Squarespace site based on our wireframe (provided upon hire).
Customize template colors/fonts to match our brand (teal #4DB6AC, coral #FF7F50, white #FFFFFF, gray #708090).
Add content (text, images, buttons) via Squarespace blocks—ensure mobile responsiveness.
Embed a third-party calculator (uCalc) on Pricing/Services pages and style it to match our brand.
Embed/Integrate Calendly on the website.
Optimize basic SEO (e.g., meta titles, etc.).
Test site functionality (links, forms, embeds) before handover.
Requirements:
2+ years designing websites (preferably Squarespace sites)—portfolio with 2–3 examples required.
Familiarity & comfortable with Squarespace blocks (Text, Button, Code) and Site Styles customization.
Experience embedding third-party tools (e.g., uCalc, Calendly) via Code Blocks.
Basic UX/UI sense—clean, mom-friendly design, mobile-first.
Ensure website pages load lightning fast—busy moms don't have time for websites to load.
Basic knowledge in website SEO for organic search optimization.
Attention to detail—must match our wireframe and brand vibe.
Good written English for updates/questions—no calls required.
Stable internet (10 Mbps+) for smooth Squarespace editing.
Why Join Us?:
One-time gig with clear scope—get in, build, get paid.
Add a community-driven US brand to your portfolio.
Potential for future gigs (e.g., updates, other business start-ups) if work shines.
Application Process:
Submit your resume and a portfolio with 2–3 websites (preferably Squarespace sites) that you’ve built. Applications without portfolios will be ignored.
