Role Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and technically skilled Web Site Maintenance Expert to join our team. This role is crucial in ensuring the performance, security, and functionality of our digital platforms. The ideal candidate will have a natural inclination towards website maintenance, coupled with strong technical skills and a passion for delivering exceptional user experiences.

Key Responsibilities:
Website Monitoring and Updates: Regularly monitor websites to ensure optimal functionality, security, and uptime. Implement updates, patches, and fixes promptly.

Content Management: Upload, edit, and manage website content using CMS platforms such as WordPress, WooCommerce, Prestashop.

Technical Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve technical issues, including broken links, loading speed concerns, and compatibility errors.

Performance Optimization: Analyze website performance metrics and implement strategies to improve speed, SEO, and overall user experience.

Security Management: Monitor for vulnerabilities, apply security updates, and ensure websites are safeguarded against cyber threats.

Backup and Recovery: Implement and maintain a robust backup and recovery system to prevent data loss.

Cross-Device Compatibility: Ensure websites function seamlessly across various devices and browsers.

Collaboration: Work closely with designers, developers, and stakeholders to align maintenance efforts with organizational goals.

Documentation: Maintain detailed records of updates, changes, and resolutions for future reference.

Strategic Documentation: Create, maintain and improve a body of knowledge of the most frequent client’s requests to allow process systemisation and knowledge sharing across various people in the organisation.

Qualifications:
Proven experience in website maintenance, technical support, or a similar role.

Strong technical skills in WordPress, PHP and web development frameworks.

Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and familiarity with web development frameworks.

Experience with website analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics) and performance optimisation techniques.

Strong understanding of website security protocols and tools.

Familiarity with hosting environments, domain management, and DNS configurations.

Knowledge of email protocols and tools is a plus.

Strong Communication Skills: Clearly articulates technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and collaborates effectively with teams in English.

Curiosity and Problem-Solving: Approaches challenges with curiosity and seeks innovative solutions to enhance website performance.

Flexibility and Resilience: Maintains focus and delivers results, even under pressure or in the face of unexpected challenges.

English Knowledge: Good english knowledge both spoken and written. We will communicate in English and will be required to write documentation in this language.

Preferred Skills:
Experience with e-commerce platforms and payment gateway integrations.
Familiarity with SEO best practices and tools.
Knowledge of graphic design, UI and UX principles and tools is a plus.
Certifications in web development, security, or maintenance are advantageous.
