The Role:

We're looking for a skilled Web Scraper to join our team and extract valuable data from the web. You'll be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining automated tools to collect specific data points from websites, transforming this raw data into usable formats, and ensuring its accuracy and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Analyze target websites to identify the structure and format of relevant data.
2. Develop and implement web scraping tools using libraries like Scrapy, Beautiful Soup, or custom scripts.
3. Extract targeted data efficiently, considering website limitations and ethical scraping practices.
4. Clean, transform, and organize extracted data into usable formats (e.g., CSV, JSON) for further analysis.
5. Monitor and maintain web scraping processes, ensuring functionality and adapting to website changes.
6. Write well-documented code to ensure maintainability and collaboration with other developers.
7. Stay up-to-date on web scraping best practices, legal considerations, and ethical data collection techniques.

Skills and Tools Required:

1. Strong understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, with experience in web development principles.
2. Proficiency in web scraping libraries and frameworks (e.g., Scrapy, Beautiful Soup, Selenium).
3. Experience with data manipulation tools and libraries (e.g., Pandas, Python libraries).
4. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
5. Ability to write clean, efficient, and well-documented code.
6. Familiarity with APIs and web protocols relevant to data extraction.
7. Understanding of database concepts and data storage solutions.
