Cahoot is seeking an experienced freelance web developer/web manager to join our dynamic remote team. We work with the UK care sector, providing digital marketing primarily to care providers.
Hours: Flexible 10-20 hours per week initially, up to 30-40 hours per week
Start: 1st of October ***Must be able to work UK hours***
*Roles & Responsibilities*
**Web Management**
-Managing the web development team – overseeing work, ensuring deadlines are met, distributing tasks etc.
-Working with the Cahoot management team, supporting each other’s work, maintaining communication and attending meetings.
-Liaising with brand manager, marketing manager and other tea
-Website Development
-Being Cahoot’s web host master.
-Understanding clients’ project briefs and website requirements. Discussing technical setups with account managers so they can clearly communicate with clients.
-Developing websites, using Divi Theme. Setting up all website elements correctly using best practices, including but not limited to web chat, autoresponders, CRM integrations, online booking, anti-spam/CAPTCHA, ecommerce functionality, landing page setup, metadata and alt tags for images, blog functionality and categorisation.
-Understanding and following best practices for CQC compliance for websites.
-Ensuring all MX procedures are up to date and followed.
-Performing post-launch checklist including setting up Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Google Search Console, and Google Ads/live chat/CRM functionality/other integrations as required. Uploading first blogs on site, checking all forms work correctly, and that all tracking, including call tracking, is registering correctly.
-Doing a full site and conversion tracking checkup one week after site launches.
-Doing full site speed test using both GTMetrix and Pagespeedinsights.
**Maintenance**
-Ensuring the site is installed in ManageWP and has an uptime monitor setup.
-Performing maintenance updates including WP, plugin and theme, and form submission and SEO tests.
-Performing monthly maintenance checks, fixing any issues and checking the site looks correct and works as required after updates.
-Updating Cahoot’s site audit sheet for the team to use as a reference.
-Ensuring all analytics accounts for Cahoot and clients remain active.
-Client support
-Communicating and working closely with account managers regarding any requested client updates, and addressing feedback from both parties.
-Providing technical consultations with clients and account managers as needed.
*Skills and qualifications*
-Minimum of 3 years web development and team management experience.
-Awareness of web development UX/UI/SEO and conversion optimisation overlaps.
-Excellent customer service skills.
-Excellent attention to detail.
-DNS Management.
-High standards of spoken and written English.
-An awareness of/good eye for design and aesthetics.
-Flexible and able to work well as part of a team.
-Understanding of key marketing concepts – mission statements, value proposition, taglines, customer avatars/buyer personas, -key messaging etc.
*Preferred skills and qualifications*
-Experience in the UK care sector – care homes, home care or healthcare.
-Design skills or experience managing a design team.
-Understanding of conversion web-copy/marketing copywriting.
