We are a QSR chain in Australia operating at over 60 stores and are the market leader in the dessert category. We employ 1000+ people across our Support Office, Warehouse and Stores and are super proud of our culture!

San Churro stores are mostly franchised and run by people passionate about our brand. Our Franchise Partners are our number one customer and a close working relationship with the stores is paramount to our success as a group.

We are seeking an exceptional Payroll Officer for a part-time role. This position requires working three days (Monday to Wednesday) during payroll weeks, totaling 25 hours, and an additional 15 hours in the non-payroll weeks - non-payroll weeks can be flexible. Therefore an average of 20 hours per week.

In the role, you will be responsible for but not limited to the following:
- Fortnightly AU payroll
- Payroll desk audits
- Contract management (new hires)
- Month-end payroll reconciliations
- Some accounting duties as back up to the finance team

Requirements are the following:
- Able to work in the Melbourne time-zone and have consistent internet/communications for remote work
- Business / HR degree or equivalent
- Have previous experience working for Australian businesses
- Having payroll or HR experience will be considered as an advantage
- Having experience using Xero for payroll is essential
- Detail-oriented
- Self-starter
- Tech-savvy

We will provide training in our systems to the right candidate.

This is a part time role, 20 hours per week and will be performed remotely in an Australian Eastern Standard Time time zone.
