Virtual Medical Assistant / Care Navigator Associate

About Us: We are a dynamic and fast-growing seed-stage startup specializing in Alzheimer's and dementia care through our multidisciplinary virtual memory clinic. Operating across 17 states, we partner with numerous payers to deliver high-quality care. As we continue to expand our footprint, we are looking for a dedicated, patient, and empathetic Virtual Medical Assistant / Care Navigator Associate to join our Care Navigator team.

Role Overview: The Virtual Medical Assistant will play a crucial role in ensuring our Care Navigators are set up for success in their evolving and specialized role in caring for patients with dementia and their caregivers. This role is administrative in nature, and requires an exceptional standard of communication with your team, a deep understanding of the healthcare system in America, the barriers patients face in navigating healthcare, and how to explain patient insurance and medical benefits/eligibility to patients.
The ideal candidate will be highly organized, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Key Responsibilities:
Support intake of new patients to the organization, ensuring patient files are ready ahead of their appointments with us
Ensure completion of all required forms, follow-up with patients to offer tech support as needed
Process copays and coinsurances due for patient appointments
Follow-up with patients on outstanding accounts payable
Request medical records from external facilities
Support patients with tech assistance to join virtual visits with their clinical providers
Sending medical records and referrals to external facilities
Other activities that support our Care Navigator team in their daily responsibilities

Requirements:
Proven experience in the US healthcare credentialing process (minimum 2-3 years).
Outstanding attention to detail
Strong organizational and project management skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Reliable high-speed internet connection.
Flexibility to work Monday through Friday, 8:30 am to 6 pm Eastern Time (US).
