The Business Development Manager (BDM) will be responsible for developing and executing strategies to expand the company's market presence, secure new clients, and enhance relationships with existing clients. The BDM will collaborate closely with sales, marketing, and product teams to ensure business growth and achieve organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Identify New Business Opportunities:
Research and identify potential markets, clients, and business trends.
Generate leads and prospects through various channels (cold calls, networking, events, etc.).
Conduct market research to understand customer needs and competitor activity.
Client Relationship Management:
Build and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships.
Understand client needs and tailor solutions to meet their requirements.
Maintain regular communication with clients to ensure satisfaction and identify opportunities for upselling or cross-selling.
Sales Strategy and Execution:
Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve business goals.
Prepare and deliver presentations to potential clients and stakeholders.
Negotiate contracts and close sales deals to meet revenue targets.
Collaborate with Internal Teams:
Work closely with sales, marketing, product, and finance teams to ensure alignment and support for business development initiatives.
Provide market insights to assist with product development and positioning.
Report and Analyze Business Development Performance:
Track progress against goals and KPIs, reporting regularly to management.
Analyze and evaluate market trends, client feedback, and competitor activity to refine strategies.
Networking and Industry Representation:
Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and trade shows.
Build and leverage industry contacts to open new business opportunities.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
3-5 years of experience in business development, sales, or marketing (preferably in a similar industry).
Strong understanding of business development principles and strategies.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Proven ability to build and maintain client relationships.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
