Virtual Assistant (Manual Appointment Booking for Texas DPS)

We are looking for a detail-oriented Virtual Assistant (VA) to help us search, track, and book DPS appointments for our customers. The Texas DPS appointment system often has limited availability, and we need someone who can efficiently navigate the system, enter customer details, search for earlier appointments, and secure bookings.

IMPORTANT: DO NOT APPLY UNTIL YOU HAVE PRACTICED BOOKING AN APPOINTMENT.
Before submitting your application, you must first practice booking an appointment on the Texas DPS scheduler. Use the following dummy customer profile to complete a full booking attempt (do not confirm the appointment).

Keep refreshing and changing cities to check for availability. Slots appear and disappear quickly, so you must act fast if you see one.
DO NOT confirm an appointment. Instead, note what challenges you faced and how you navigated the system.

Troubleshooting Tips for DPS Website Errors
While booking an appointment, you may encounter common issues that require troubleshooting:

Captcha Errors ("Validation Failed") – If this error appears, try clicking "OK" multiple times until it disappears.
Refreshing & Availability Issues – The DPS system does not always show available slots immediately. You must refresh the page repeatedly, change cities, or return to the main menu before searching again.
Cookies & Cache Problems – If you experience login issues or the page does not load properly, try clearing your browser cookies and cache and reloading the page.
VPN Use – If you are located outside the US, using a VPN with a US IP address may improve access and reduce website errors.

Job Responsibilities:
Log into the DPS system, input real customer details, and actively search for available appointments.
Manually cycle through different cities and refresh the page frequently to locate an open slot.
Quickly book the appointment once a slot is found. The system does not hold appointments for long.
Track appointment availability and update a shared spreadsheet.
Communicate with our team to confirm successful bookings and report any issues.

Ideal Candidate:
Strong attention to detail and fast typing skills to navigate the DPS scheduling system quickly.
Prior experience with appointment scheduling, online booking, or data entry is a plus.
Proactive and reliable, checking for new slots throughout the day.
Ability to follow instructions carefully and troubleshoot errors independently.

Compensation:
$3 - $7 per hour, depending on experience.
Part-time or full-time role, depending on availability and workload.
