JOB OVERVIEW

We are looking for a creative, trend-savvy YouTube Video Editor to join our team. In this role, you’ll transform raw footage into engaging, high-impact videos that resonate with audiences and reflect the latest online trends. From snappy transitions to eye-catching motion graphics, your edits will shape our channel’s identity and drive viewer engagement. If you’re passionate about storytelling, social media culture, and the newest editing styles, we want to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities
Video Editing & Post-Production
Edit and assemble recorded footage into compelling, on-brand content for YouTube and other social media channels.
Incorporate trendy editing techniques, visual effects, and motion graphics to keep videos fresh and engaging.
Balance pacing, narrative flow, and comedic timing in line with current YouTube best practices.
Creative Direction
Stay ahead of editing trends, including transitions, text animations, color grading, and sound design.
Collaborate with the content team to develop creative storyboards or shot lists.
Brainstorm content ideas and suggest improvements to existing and upcoming videos.
Brand Consistency & Quality
Ensure visual consistency across all content (e.g., logos, fonts, color palettes, intro/outro).
Maintain high production standards, including aspect ratios, resolution, and audio clarity.
Perform final checks for continuity, color accuracy, and transition smoothness before publishing.
Collaboration & Project Management
Work closely with producers, videographers, and other stakeholders to meet deadlines and content goals.
Adapt to feedback and revisions promptly while maintaining overall project vision.
Use project management tools (e.g., Trello, Asana, or Monday.com) and communicate via Slack or similar platforms.
Optimization & Analysis
Leverage metadata, YouTube analytics, and audience feedback to refine editing approaches.
Experiment with new editing formats or effects to improve viewer engagement.
Contribute to post-mortem discussions to evaluate what worked well and identify areas for improvement.

On times there are no edits, research trends for future video ideas and have weekly or monthly meetings for these ideas.
