We are seeking a skilled contractor to focus specifically on graphic design and video editing for social media channels and optimization. This role will involve designing graphics, editing videos and implementing strategies to improve discoverability and engagement on various social channels; we are currently focused on YouTube and Instagram. The ideal candidate has strong graphic design and video editing skills, an understanding of YouTube/Instagram SEO, and experience with audience retention strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
Graphic Production for Social Media & Content Marketing
Design eye-catching graphics for social media posts and promotional materials across platforms (Instagram,
Work within our brand’s style guide, using provided assets and templates for consistent visual branding.
Tailor graphics for each platform with an understanding of platform-specific best practices.
Video Editing
Edit short and long-form video content to engage and retain viewers.
Apply storytelling skills to craft compelling narratives aligned with our brand’s voice.
Incorporate brand elements such as intros, outros, captions, and transitions for a consistent visual experience.
YouTube Optimization
Optimize YouTube content for discoverability, including keyword research, crafting titles, tags, descriptions, and designing attention-grabbing thumbnails.
Monitor and analyze YouTube analytics to inform future video and content strategies.
Implement audience engagement and retention strategies to maximize watch time.
Preferred Skills & Experience:
Graphic Design Skills: Proficiency in Canva (required that all final work must be in Canva). Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, or similar tools for creating brand graphics.
Proficiency in Video Editing Software: Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or equivalent.
YouTube SEO and Analytics: Experience with YouTube optimization, including SEO best practices and data analysis.
Storytelling Skills: Ability to craft engaging and cohesive video narratives.
Basic Animation and Motion Graphics: Ability to add simple animations or motion graphics (e.g., animated text or logos) to elevate video content.
Bonus Skills:
Experience creating video descriptions and captions with SEO in mind.
Familiarity with audience retention techniques and optimization for engagement.
Commitment:
Part-time, project-based with flexible hours. Approximately 10-20 hours per week, depending on project load.

For Finalists:
Finalists will be asked to submit a short visual project or social media story aligned with our style guide and brand elements. We will pay for final projects.
