Video Editor for YouTube Finance Channel (Freelance to Full-Time Potential)

About the Role
We are looking for a skilled video editor to help bring engaging and high-quality finance content to life on YouTube. You will be working with raw footage of a single-speaker format (similar to Nischa, Ramit Sethi, Jordan Welch, Sebastian Ghiorghiu, and Graham Stephan) and turning it into compelling, educational videos. Your role will be to enhance engagement through thoughtful edits, B-roll, graphics, and well-placed visuals—without making the content overly animated or jump-cut heavy.

Some of the best-performing finance videos have used simple yet effective editing styles while keeping the content engaging. Below are some examples of videos that have done very well with a clean, minimalistic approach, but anything you can add to enhance the experience would be greatly appreciated:

Responsibilities
-Edit 8-12 minute finance-related videos for YouTube.
-Incorporate B-roll, graphics, subtitles, and animations where necessary.
-Enhance audio with sound effects, AI voice improvements, and music overlays (when applicable).
-Follow the provided script as a reference while using creative discretion for visuals.
-Maintain a clean and professional editing style—educational but visually engaging.
-Ensure fast turnaround times while maintaining high quality.

Requirements
-Proficiency in Premiere Pro (preferred) or other professional editing software.
-A strong portfolio showcasing engaging YouTube edits.
-Understanding of YouTube content trends, storytelling, and viewer retention tactics.
-Ability to take raw footage and create compelling, high-quality content.
-Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.

Preferred Qualifications
-Experience editing educational or finance-related content (not required, but a plus).
-Ability to adapt to feedback and refine edits quickly.

Compensation & Work Arrangement
-Per video rate (to be discussed).
-Freelance with potential for full-time work in the future.
