ROLE MISSION:

As our Video Editor, your mission is to transform raw video content into engaging, shareable, and high-performing assets that resonate with our audience, help us go viral, and position our brand as a leader in the industry. You will play a key role in expanding our YouTube presence and enhancing our visual storytelling across platforms.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Content Editing & Enhancement: Edit video content for YouTube and other social platforms to ensure alignment with brand voice, audience preferences, and platform algorithms.
- Platform Optimization: Format and optimize videos for multiple platforms including YouTube, Youtube Shorts, Instagram, and TikTok.
- Creative Storytelling: Leverage editing techniques to craft compelling narratives that captivate viewers and drive engagement.
- Motion Graphics: Incorporate dynamic elements like text overlays, transitions, and animations to elevate the viewing experience.
- Content Repurposing: Transform long-form videos into short, impactful clips for Reels, Shorts, and TikToks.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure every video aligns with the Polaris brand standards of clarity, empowerment, and professionalism.
- Trend Monitoring: Stay updated on trends in video content, platform algorithms, and audience engagement strategies.

RESULTS (KPIs):

- Increased audience retention rates on YouTube videos.
- Achieved viral performance metrics on short-form content.
- Consistent growth in YouTube subscribers and video views.
- Optimized video production processes, reducing turnaround time.

SKILLS REQUIRED:

- Proficiency in Video Editing Tools: Expertise in software like Final Cut Pro, Descript, After Effects, or DaVinci Resolve.
- Understanding of Social Media Algorithms: Familiarity with YouTube SEO, hashtags, and trends for platforms like Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts.
- Storytelling: Ability to distill complex ideas into concise and impactful visual stories.
- Creativity & Adaptability: Adept at creating content that aligns with audience preferences and brand voice.
- Attention to Detail: Consistently deliver high-quality work with precision and care.
- Collaboration: Open to feedback and capable of working closely with the content and marketing teams.

SHIFT TIMES:

- Project basis with flexible hours as long as deadlines and targets are hit.
- Projected hours per week: 5-10
