We're seeking a skilled, creative, and efficient Video Editor with strong DaVinci Resolve experience to join our team. This role primarily focuses on creating high-impact, engaging short-form videos (Reels, TikToks, Shorts) by expertly repurposing content from long-form video podcasts. While experience handling long-form footage in DaVinci Resolve is essential, your day-to-day will revolve around crafting shareable, attention-grabbing short clips optimized for social media. If you have a talent for finding viral Upgrade to see actual infonts, mastering vertical video storytelling, and possess strong DaVinci Resolve skills, this role is for you!

The right person for this role will:

- Have proven Video Editing expertise demonstrated through a strong portfolio/showreel, with a clear emphasis on dynamic short-form video.
- Possess mastery of DaVinci Resolve, including multi-cam workflows, colour correction, and basic audio editing (Fairlight), applied efficiently for fast-paced editing.
- Have a keen understanding of short-form video trends, hooks, and pacing across platforms like TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts.
- Be meticulous about detail, ensuring technical quality, accuracy, and consistency in fast turnaround edits.
- Have a great sense for identifying compelling Upgrade to see actual infonts within longer content suitable for short clips.
- Be a proactive self-starter who can manage their workload independently and meet deadlines in a remote environment.
- Be highly organized, especially with managing large source files, proxies, and numerous short video outputs.
- Have excellent English communication skills (written and verbal).
- Be tech-savvy, comfortable with cloud services and potentially leveraging AI tools for workflow enhancement (e.g., transcription, clip suggestions).
- Have access to a high-performance computer capable of handling video editing smoothly.
- Have fast, reliable internet.
- (Bonus) Have a genuine interest in podcasting or digital content creation.


What You'll Do (Responsibilities):

Short-Form Video Creation (Primary Focus):
- Review long-form video podcasts to identify and extract the most engaging Upgrade to see actual infonts for short-form content.
- Edit high volumes of dynamic vertical videos (Reels, Shorts, TikToks) optimized for social platforms, incorporating strong hooks, pacing, captions/subtitles, graphics, B-roll, music, and sound effects.
- Ensure rapid turnaround times while maintaining high quality.
- Adapt content styles based on platform best practices and client needs.

Long-Form Footage Handling / Occasional Editing (Secondary Focus):
- Efficiently handle, organize, and potentially create proxies for long-form source footage within DaVinci Resolve.
- Perform occasional basic edits on long-form content as needed (e.g., syncing audio/video, basic cuts for source material preparation).

Quality Control & Workflow:
- Meticulously review all edits (especially short-form outputs) for technical quality, accuracy, consistency, and brand alignment.
- Manage project files and assets efficiently using cloud storage.
- Collaborate effectively with the team using project management and communication tools.
- Create basic thumbnails or work with design templates for videos.

Technical Requirements (Must Haves):

- Significant experience with DaVinci Resolve is mandatory.
- Proven experience with multi-cam editing specifically within DaVinci Resolve.
- Solid understanding and practical experience with proxy file workflows.
- Basic understanding and experience with audio editing (within Resolve/Fairlight is sufficient).
- Fast and reliable internet connection (speed test required during application).
- Access to a high-performance computer suitable for video editing (specs required during application).
- Familiarity with cloud storage services (Google Drive, Dropbox, etc.).
- Familiarity with Google Workspace.


Bonus Points (Preferred Skills):

- Familiarity with CapCut for creative effects or subtitles often seen in short-form video.
- Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Canva (or similar) for thumbnail/graphic design.
- Experience with motion graphics/animation (Fusion within Resolve, or After Effects).
- Advanced audio editing/mixing skills.
- Experience specifically editing video podcasts.
- Proven track record of creating short-form videos that perform well on social media.
- Experience using AI tools for video workflows (transcription, clip finding, etc.).

Salary:

Starting Rate: This position is listed at 280 PHP per hour.
