We're seeking a talented Video Editor to create engaging content for various home service businesses. The ideal candidate will have experience in showcasing home improvement projects, repairs, and maintenance services through compelling short-form videos.
Responsibilities:
Edit and produce high-quality videos highlighting home service projects and processes
Create before-and-after video presentations of home improvements
Develop content optimized for Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and TikTok
Craft promotional videos for local home service businesses
Incorporate informative graphics, text overlays, and appropriate music into videos
Requirements:
Proven experience creating videos for home service or construction-related businesses
Strong proficiency in video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar)
Excellent understanding of social media trends and best practices for short-form video content
Ability to tell compelling visual stories about home improvement processes
Experience with motion graphics and visual effects relevant to home service demonstrations
Strong sense of pacing and timing for short-form content (15-60 seconds)
Key Skills:
Creating visually appealing before-and-after sequences
Showcasing step-by-step processes in engaging, concise formats
Vertical video formatting for mobile-first platforms
Effective use of text overlays to highlight key information
Integrating branding elements for various home service businesses
Bonus Skills:
Experience filming home improvement projects (not required, but a plus)
Knowledge of home repair and improvement terminology
Compensation: $10-$15 per hour, based on experience
