Very Experienced Video Editor

Join Our Team as a Video Editor - Help Us Keep it Chewy (and Captivating!)

Do you have a gift of crafting videos that stick (just like our candy taffy) on Social Media? If you're a video professional and can create remarkable video content, we want you on our team. We’re seeking someone experienced with Video Editing to create high-quality videos.

What you will be doing:
1. Editing short videos for social media using CapCut and Adobe (or other video editing software), ensuring the content is polished and optimized for each platform. We believe in testing and testing more until we find the right video formula that will stick on social media.
2. Creating eye-catching content that grabs attention, from crafting engaging transitions to selecting the right music, text, and effects to enhance the story. Your videos need to hold the viewer's attention the whole video. That is difficult to do...but you love figuring that part out.
3. Staying on top of social media trends and video formats to keep content fresh and relevant. Collaborating with our team to generate top ideas. We will provide you with the raw video footage, most b-roll footage, and beautiful photography that you can use in your videos.
4. Adapting videos for different platforms (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, etc.) while maintaining high-quality production standards.
5. Helping us create product videos for our listings on different platforms (Shopify, Amazon, Etsy, Walmart, etc.).

What we’re looking for:
1. Proven experience in video editing (please share your portfolio)
2. Ability to create visually compelling social media graphics while keeping it "on brand".
3. Strong design sensibility with an eye for detail
4. Capacity to work efficiently without sacrificing quality, particularly in fast-paced settings
5. A passion for storytelling and creating impactful video content
6. Willingness to adapt based on the data or viewer statistics
7. Strong communication. Daily updates. Providing content when expected.

10. Actual experience working for a high-paced business. We are growing quickly and it is difficult for us to provide much direction. We ask that you work independently, join meetings when scheduled, submit your work on-time, communicate, provide updates, and act as if you were working on-site. Trust is the most important thing to us. Showing up and doing great work is the most important thing to us.
