Versatile YouTube Video Editor & Thumbnail Designer Needed

About the brand:
We’re a growing personal brand that specializes in the finance and career niche. There will also be more expansion with a personal brand, such as vlog content, taking head content and faceless content so we’re looking for a talented rockstar creative video editor to join our team as a VA!

We are seeking a skilled video editor who is able to utilize their expertise to edit long-form videos and short-form videos and create high-converting thumbnails weekly.
There will be other design assets as well, like YouTube banner creation, social media posts, and other special design projects.

This role is a part-time position with a 30-day trial period with the potential for the role to turn into full-time long-term employment after 6 months. You will have the chance to grow with the company and receive higher pay and bonuses with great performance.

As the creative VA, you will perform various video editing and graphic design tasks weekly so a strong Internet connection is required, sustainable computer memory, along with experience using communication tools like Zoom, Google Meet, Slack & Notion.

Qualifications:
You must be a self-starter and can work independently with quality outcomes
Must be results-driven and resourceful to learn new video editing techniques weekly/monthly to continue to enhance the video output
Must be research savvy and understand social media and what is currently trending with video editing, thumbnails and content as a whole
Must be innovative and come up with creative editing ideas to keep viewers retention rates high
Must have advanced thumbnail design experience to be able to duplicate and draw inspiration from thumbnails that are working
Must be able to work EST timezone

Video Editing-
-Long-form video -Cut, trim, add audio, and align video with voiceover
-Long-form video - Add text, graphics, motion graphics, pop-ups, transitions etc
-Long-form video - Create aesthetically pleasing vlog videos
-Short-form video - Create short-form video from long-form vide
-Short-form video - Add text, graphics, motion graphics, pop-ups, transitions etc.
MUST know how to cut raw footage and mistakes and make a smooth edit for both video and audio
MUST know how to cut and edit multiple types of content such as talking head footage, faceless content (audio cutting + screen alignment) & vlog-style videos

Graphic Design:
-Create high-quality on-brand thumbnails
-Create email marketing graphics
-Create digital e-book & sales mock-ups as needed

Research:
-Research competitors and design aesthetics to ensure our content is relevant


Experience:
Experience in video editing is REQUIRED (You must be able to provide your portfolio editing multiple styles of video)
Experience in video editing software is REQUIRED (Capcut, Davinci Resolve, Premier Pro, Final Cut Pro - Any one of these is fine)
Experience in graphic design is REQUIRED (You must be able to provide your portfolio)
Experience using graphic design tools like Canva is good, but having Photoshop experience is a PLUS
Experience in graphic design, specifically YouTube Thumbnails is a PLUS
Being an EXPERT at video editing is a PLUS

Quick note: You will receive training on the behind the scenes of the business and how the business is run and how the videos need to be edited to ensure you have a great foundation and can be productive in this role.
