We are looking for a Venture Operations and Community Manager (VOCM) to manage outreach, community efforts, and support our investment process in a fully remote capacity.



Position Overview

In this full-time, fully remote role, you will focus on managing community outreach, marketing efforts, and operational coordination. This role is instrumental in building and maintaining relationships, promoting our investment thesis, and supporting growth opportunities for portfolio companies. You’ll be responsible for coordinating virtual events, managing communications, and supporting the investment process through research and administrative tasks.



Key Responsibilities

Community Building and Partnership Development

Act as a key representative of Sentiero VC, fostering relationships with founders, investors, and industry leaders in the AI and startup ecosystems through virtual channels.

Develop and maintain partnerships with ecosystem stakeholders, including founders, mentors, and service providers, to expand Sentiero’s network and unlock new opportunities.

Coordinate introductions and connections between portfolio companies and potential investors, clients, or partners to support their growth.

Deal Sourcing and Industry Research

Assist with deal sourcing by researching platforms like Pitchbook, Crunchbase, and other industry sources to identify trends and potential opportunities.

Conduct industry research and prepare analysis reports or presentations to keep Sentiero informed of emerging trends and market insights.

Support Sentiero’s investment thesis by identifying innovative solutions in AI and tech that align with our portfolio strategy.

Event and Program Coordination

Plan and execute virtual community-focused events, such as webinars, online meetups, and panel discussions, to strengthen Sentiero’s presence in the startup community.

Manage post-event follow-ups, including sharing resources, gathering feedback, and exploring new partnership or investment opportunities.

Collaborate on co-marketing campaigns to enhance brand visibility and attract new deal flow.

Portfolio Company Support

Serve as a point of contact for portfolio companies, providing resources, guidance, and virtual introductions to support their growth.

Work with the investment and operations teams to track portfolio performance and identify opportunities for value-driven support.

Marketing and Communications

Develop and execute digital marketing strategies, including newsletters, blog posts, and social media campaigns, to amplify Sentiero’s brand presence.

Collaborate with internal teams to create presentations and materials that effectively communicate Sentiero’s story and insights.

Leverage CRM tools to manage Sentiero’s network and maintain long-term, productive relationships with partners and potential investors.



Key Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in marketing, community management, or related fields, with 1+ years of experience in a similar role.

Strong written communication skills, with the ability to craft engaging content for newsletters, social media, and other digital platforms.

Experience coordinating virtual events and managing online communities.

Familiarity with CRM tools and relationship-building practices, with a focus on maintaining long-term professional connections.

A proactive, strategic thinker with experience in the startup or venture capital ecosystem and a passion for supporting high-growth companies.
